Disney Hollywood Studios

Okay, this picture was supposed to be in my previous post. This was at Magic Kingdom as we were leaving. There we 2 employees who had a jump rope and were letting kids try to jump rope. Ally stated she wanted to jump rope and got into line. When it was her turn she got in front of everybody and she did it! If you know Ally, you know how shy she is. We were so proud of her.
This was taken at Disney's Hollywood Studios while we were waiting in line to see Buzz and Woody.
Which one is Stinky Pete?
Ally and Ryan went through Jedi Training. Here is Ally battling Darth Maul.
And Ryan took him on also.

3rd Day at Disney World

Here our some pictures from our 3rd day at Disney World.

Riding the ferry to Magic Kingdom. Boy, it was cold.
Riding the carosaul in Fantasy Land.
Even grandma and grandpa joined in.
Ally and Ryan taking a picture in front of Cinderella's castle with grandma and grandpa (they were holding up the Taos News to put their picture in the local paper).

2nd Day at Disney World

On our second day we headed to . . . . . . .

Family picture with a turtle.
Grabbing a snack. Man, was it colder than we expected.

Ryan tracking prints.
Dad in his rain poncho (walking with the kids) Ryan is looking up at a ride they just rode. My poor hubby. He had to ride all the rides with either the kids or by himself. I get sick with any sort of spinning.
My mom watching Henry and the kids ride the dinosaur ride (which, by the way, is just like the Dumbo ride, just dinosaurs).
Henry and Ryan looking at all the animals on the Safari ride.
Grandma sharing her turkey leg with Ryan.

Breakfast with the Princesses

Our first morning in Disney World we went to Epcot and had breakfast with the princesses. Ryan refused to get into the pictures because he said they were just for girls.

Dinner at Fort Wilderness

The Mickey Mouse Express dropped us off at Fort Wilderness and we went to our cabin. Since we did not have any luggage, we immediately boarded a shuttle and headed to Mickey and Minnie's Backyard Bar-b-que. It was a buffet with all the southern style fixin's and a bunch of characters were there taking pictures with everyone. Here are the pictures of we took at dinner
Excited to be at Disney World.

This is my favorite picture. You should have seen how excited my mom was to see Daisy. It was awesome to see that side of her.

Oooh, Disney World Express Picks Us Up

When you stay at a resort in Disney World, they pick up your luggage for you and deliver to your room a couple hours later. Here we are on the Disney Express.
ARE WE THERE YET!

And We're Off

On Christmas morning, Henry, Ally, Ryan, my dad (Grandpa Cookie), my mom (Grandma Cookie) and myself boarded a plane and headed to Orlando, Florida to spend an entire week in Disney World! This was exciting since 1. the Monroy's have never done anything Disney and 2. My parents have never been to a theme park. Heck, my dad had not flown since he was in the military (1971?).
At the airport waiting for our flight.
Ryan waiting for take off.
And we are in the air! It was so funny when we took off. Ally looked out her window and suddenly declared "oh, that is why the call it a desert". Yeah, not too much to look at in NM. I kept looking at my dad to make sure he was okay. I could see he was nervous. But he relaxed about an hour into the flight. The Southwest flight attendants we had a sense of humor. When we took off the said "sit back and relax or lean forward and be tense. The choice is yours."
We landed! Here is Ally, Grandma and Grandpa walking in the Orlando Airport.

Christmas at the Monroy's

Ok, technically it wasn't Christmas day, it was Christmas Eve. But, we sprinkled reindeer food and glitter to attract Santa to our house a day early since we were leaving to Disney World on Christmas day. When the kids woke up on Christmas Eve Santa had delivered their gifts. Around noon we had Christmas dinner then we opened all the gifts. My parents, my sister Cheryl, her husband Eli, my sister Katie, and her almost step-daughter Cathy all came over.
Look - we got a dollhouse and Transformers from Santa!
I love my I-pod!
Playing with my new toys with Grandma Cookie
Enjoying Christmas dinner

Christmas Performances

Ally and Ryan both had Christmas performances the last week of school in December. Ally's was in the evening and Ryan's was during the school day. Ally's performance was for all 1st graders (which there are, I think, 6 1st grade classes). It was a madhouse. But it was nice seeing Ally up there. My parents and grandma Elsie were in town, so they got to see it also.
My beautiful Ally in the crowd of performers.
Ally with her BFF after the performance.
Ally with her teacher.
My dad and Ryan blocking the view of everyone behind them.
Ryan's performance was not as formal. It was at his pre-school during the day. They sang some songs for the parents outside, then went into the classroom and sang a couple more songs then we ate.
Ryan singing as loud as he can.
Enjoying all the sweets with his friend Xavier.
.....laughing all the way.
