Meet Jasper (This post is dedicated to Char)

We got a dog! Now how surprising is that? I have never been a dog person. But for some reason, I love this little guy. His name is Jasper and he is park Yorkie and part Maltese. I bought him from a friend of a friend. They didn't have the time for him. When I bought him the previous owners gave me everything - dog crate, food, treats, toys, leash, collar - everything. I didn't have to buy anything. He barked and bit a lot the first couple of days, but he is doing better now.
Isn't he cute?

Since I introduced my blog world to Jasper I now have to introduce you to the other pets. Ally has a cat, named Toby, that she got when she was 4. Toby is an awesome cat. He lets the kids carry him around, upside down. Ally puts him in her doll stroller and pushes him around the house. Toby puts up with a lot from the kids. Occasionally, Toby gets them back by biting their toes in the middle of the night. As Ryan yells at Toby "my toes are not wienies!" When Ally sleeps at someone's house Toby cries from her half the night.

Ryan has a hamster named Isotope (somedays his name is Orbit). Ryan got him for his birthday this year. When we got him he was white with a lil bit of black fur on his head. Now look at him.
Isotope is also great with the kids. They pull him out of his cage and "fly" him through the house. They will sit on the couch watching TV while just holding Isotope in their hand. However, lately Isotope has become a super pain in the rear. He figured out how to get out of his 1st cage, so I bought him a different cage. Of course, he can get out of this cage as well. He went on a 4 day hiatus where we could not find him anywhere. Finally, we found him under Ryan's drawers (you had to remove the drawers to find him). So, I put him back in the cage then place the cage in the bathtub (so if he got out of his cage he could not get out of the bathtub).

Here is Jasper trying to figure out what Isotope is.

And here is Jasper and Toby keeping an eye on Isotope.

Leader of the Pack - 3rd year!

We are so excited that Ally received Leader of the Pack (now called Rising Star) for the third year in a row! We are also excited that she was nominated for this for the 1st quarter. This means that she and another classmate were the first ones in their class to receive the award. You go Ally. Keep up the good work. We are proud of you.

Her auntie Cheryl went to the ceremony. Thanks Cheryl!

Grandma and Grandpa Turtle came to see Ryan's game.

So, Grandma and Grandpa Turtle came to visit a couple weeks after Labor Day to see Ryan's T-ball game. It was a nice relaxing weekend. We went out to eat, went to a movie, and just hung out at the house.

Trip to Jal

So, I finally have my camera back. So here is the update on what we have been up to. Over Labor Day weekend we went to Jal and spent some time with grandma and grandpa. We also took the pop-up and camped at the lake.
Here is Ryan helping cut down the tree that was in grandma and grandpa's front yard.

Here we are at the lake getting ready for the night.
