Leader of the Pack

Ally was Leader of the Pack at school this month. It is like student of the month. We are so proud of her. There was an award ceremony and she received a certificate and a t-shirt that says Leader of the Pack. She was the Leader of the Pack in March of kindergarten. We are so proud of her getting this early in the school year. You rock Ally!

. . . and he crashes

Ryan has gotten in a wonderful habit of going to bed as late a possible (10:00 or later) and waking up at the crack of dawn (or earlier). Honestly, he seems to need no more than seven hours of sleep. This habit sure does not come from my side of the family. But, alas, he crashed at 7:00 the other night. We didn't know what do. We thought he would wake up at 4 in the morning. Fortunately he slept until 6:30 in the morning. I guess he had to catch up on his sleep.

School Projects II

Ally had a project of decorating a turkey. She wanted to make it a princess turkey. So, we pulled out the paint and got to work.

Ta-da, a princess turkey.

School Projects

Ryan had a school project of researching his favorite bug and making a model of it. He chose a lady bug. So, we painted a potato red, and toothpicked raisins in place for the black spots. Ryan and I had a lot of fun doing this.

Halloween

Better late than never. Here is a picture from Halloween.
Ryan was bumblebee from Transformers (which he is totally obsessed with) and Ally was either a pink witch of a princess (depending on what day you asked her). My parents, Grandma and Grandpa Cookie were in town and stopped by to see them. Which then turned into Grandma Cookie and Auntie Cheryl taking them trick or treating. Works for me!

I don't have any pictures of our Jack o' lanterns because we didn't have any. All I can say is don't try to find pumpkins the day before Halloween.

And, to follow up on the previous post, Ryan is over his cough. His doctor said that he has a "touch of asthma" because everyone winter that kid has to use the nebulizer. Oh, did I tell you, we have definitely figured out he is color blind. Not completely, but he has trouble with light colors and for some reason, he sees orange as purple. Let's just say I figured that out after a HUGE fit over not enough water in the "purple" cup, which was really an orange cup that I had not filled with water. Learn as you go I say.
