Isn't It Grand......

Canyon that is. Over Labor Day weekend we took a road trip and headed out to the Grand Canyon. We hooked up the pop-up and headed out on Friday. We camped in Gallup the first night and on Saturday we headed to the Grand Canyon. We didn't make any reservations at any of the camp sites because we didn't want to be on a schedule. When we pulled into the Grand Canyon, well not into the actual canyon, we were certain we would not get a camp site. There were people everywhere. When we pulled into the campground there was a sign that said full. So, we began to pull around when a ranger came on over and asked us if we needed a camp site. We told him yes, only for one night. He said "you are in luck. They just had a guy call that he was not going to be able to make it in that night and was just canceling for one night." Jackpot! We had a campground.
